Rebecca's Certifications and Continuing Education
As we age, movement becomes more meaningful-and more essential. With over 13 years of experience as a certified personal trainer, Ben has dedicated his career to helping older adults stay strong, independent and capable of doing what they love for as long as possible. His training philosophy is built on the belief that it's never too late to reclaim your strength.
Ben brings specialized tools to support aging bodies with care and precision. Along with a psychology degree with distinction, he has a Fitness and Health Promotion diploma, is certified through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology and is Bonefit trained through Osteoporosis Canada.
His approach is both compassionate and practical: he helps clients build strength, balance and mobility using safe, personalized programs focused on the fundamental movement patterns we rely on every day-from getting out of a chair to carrying groceries to climbing stairs. These patterns are the building blocks that help us keep up with the grandkids, enjoy hobbies or just move with greater confidence.
In addition to his work as a trainer, Ben teaches nutrition, sports nutrition as well as health and wellness at St. Lawrence College. He leads community workshops on healthy aging, exercise and osteoporosis, and the role of nutrition in lifelong vitality.
